Brows are an important facial feature as they enhance the attractiveness of the face and create a more youthful appearance.

If your brows are naturally sparse, uneven, or have disappeared due to a hair loss condition such as Alopecia, then machine hair strokes can be a great solution to help create the illusion of realistic looking brows.

Machine Hair strokes definition?

Machine Hair-strokes process requires using a tattoo machine with single needle which deposits pigment into the upper region of the dermis, so it fades more rapidly than traditional tattooing techniques, which deposit pigment deeper. This painless procedure might not even needed numbing cream. It will create, enhance or reshape their appearance in terms of both eyebrow shape and color.

How long does it last?

Healed Brows can last 12-36 months up to individuals, their life style, skin conditions, medical history and how they take care of their eyebrows.

Do you use clean needles?

Every client has a new, single use needle. At the beginning of the treatment you can observe the needles being taken out of a sterile pre-packed casing. On completion of the treatment, the needles are put into a sharps container and then disposed of correctly.

Does it Hurt?

Although the procedure can take upward of 2.5 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.

Can I get Machine Hairstrokes if I have previous micro bladed/ tattooed brows?

It depends on the following factors:

COLOUR SATURATION: We have to ensure the previous tattoo has faded the required amount so that we can achieve definitive strokes - if it is too dark we run the risk of the new strokes diffusing into the old tattoo and creating a “powdery” effect throughout the brow.
SCARRING - Scar tissue can sometimes be unpredictable with how it absorbs pigment. Your eligibility often depends on the severity and type of the scarring.
STROKE PLACEMENT - The stroke placement of the previous tattoo can often restrict what’s achievable with the correction process - it’s important to go into the procedure with realistic expectations and know that your artist is working around a less desirable outcome.

Who might not be the candidates for Machine Hairstrokes?

Individuals under 18 years of age
Individuals with any kind of skin condition on or near the treatment area
Individuals who use Accutane. Must be stopped 12 months before the procedure
Individuals prone to keloids

Allow freshly eyebrows seven to ten days to heal. By the second day, you should be feeling better with the sensitivity stopping shortly.The swelling and redness can take up 3 days to resolve. Swelling will impact their symmetry over the next week.
Don't be worried if the strokes have disappeared/missing/flaking off, it takes the pigment roughly 4 weeks to resurface.

Maintenance tips

Recommend getting a “touch-up” of your machine hairstrokes eyebrows at least once a year. This touch-up will involve adding pigment to the outline of the brows that you have already.
After your skin is fully healed, you’ll want to protect your brows investment by taking care of your skin. Applying a sunscreen to the brows area may help prevent fading. Like similar cosmetic treatments — such as eyebrow tattooing — machine hair-strokes is permanent but will fade. Fading may occur at a faster rate than brow tattooing due to the smaller amount of pigment used. Two years after your initial procedure, you’ll most likely have to repeat the procedure in its entirety.
