This technique uses the stroking method to create “little hairs” but also uses a shading technique for more density. This look will still appear natural and but it will be darker and fuller.

Since Microblading alone will never give you the “makeup look”, implementing shading with the strikes, you can say goodbye to that eyebrow pencil.

We keep it soft for every day, so that you can still add makeup to it for a more dramatic look!

Shading typically lasts longer than Microblading (may last up to 2 years) as it uses more pigment throughout the eyebrow. If you are looking for longevity with less touch-ups shading would be the recommended method. It works best with oily skin type since oily skin tends to fade quicker with microblading. Shading technique will help with pigment retention.

However most people are fearful of this method looking too solid or unnatural. Permanent makeup has come a long way and is constantly advancing. This new shading method won’t be solid, dark and saturated like the older permanent makeup we see.

Results do vary based on lifestyle, skin type, health, preferences, etc., but a full shading brows session, using high-quality pigments, can last on average 18 months-4 years.

Every client has a new, single use needle. At the beginning of the treatment you can observe the needles being taken out of a sterile pre-packed casing. On completion of the treatment, the needles are put into a sharps container and then disposed of correctly.

Although the procedure can take upward of 2.5 hours, most people report only feeling minor pressure or discomfort and less pain than a typical tattoo due to the use of a numbing cream. Of course, this will depend on your own personal tolerance to pain. Some level of pain or discomfort should be expected.

It depends on the following factors:

  1. COLOUR SATURATION: We have to ensure the previous work has faded minimum 70%. If the brows are super saturated, the new pigment wont show up.

  2. SCARRING – Scar tissue can sometimes be unpredictable with how it absorbs pigment. Your eligibility often depends on the severity and type of the scarring.

  3. SHAPE- If they are still dark and in a undesired shape. You might need tattoo removal before coming in

  • Don’t be worried if the strokes have disappeared/missing/flaking off, it takes the pigment roughly 4 weeks to resurface.

  • For the first 4 to 6 days the eyebrows will appear bold and dark, the colour will drop by 40 percent and thickness by 10 to 15 percent when healed. Read More

Maintenance tips

  • Recommend getting a “touch-up” of your shaded eyebrows at least once every 1.5 years. This touch-up will involve adding pigment to the outline of the brows that you have already.

  • After your skin is fully healed, you’ll want to protect your brows investment by taking care of your skin. Applying a sunscreen to the brows area may help prevent fading. Like similar cosmetic treatments — such as eyebrow tattooing — is permanent but will fade. Fading may occur at a faster rate than brow tattooing due to the smaller amount of pigment used. Two years after your initial procedure, you’ll most likely have to repeat the procedure in its entirety.
